Texana Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides behavioral healthcare and intellectual & developmental disabilities services to residents of a six county area that includes Austin, Colorado, Fort Bend, Matagorda, Waller and Wharton Counties. Texana provides a safety net to an upwards of 740,000 citizens and serves over 14,000 clients each year in its wide array of programs and services. Our mission is to deliver life changing services to people with behavioral health issues and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Texana Center has over 40 different locations covering about 6,000 square miles. Among our many signature programs is the Texana Children’s Center for Autism, which is a nationally recognized program.
The center began operations on September 1, 1999, following a merger of two other healthcare organizations. Texana Center has its headquarters in Rosenberg in Fort Bend County, which is one of the fastest growing counties in the nation. The center has an annual operating budget of $55,000,000 and a staff of 855.
Texana serves over 16,000 annually in its array of service programs that are located in each of the six counties, covering about 6,000 square miles.
