The Fort Bend Economic Development Council is a public-private partnership established in 1986 to promote vitality and to ensure quality development in Fort Bend County. Working cooperatively with city and state officials and business and community leaders, the FBEDC works closely and cooperatively with our regional economic development partners to advance an agenda which supports growth and opportunity for businesses on a local, state, national, and international level.
Championing the causes that support and grow the business culture in Fort Bend County, the Fort Bend EDC and its economic development partners are the leading advocates in the county for economic growth, quality development, workforce development, and pro-business policies on a local, state, and federal level. The FBEDC and its partners advocate for public policy that encourages businesses to relocate to and expand within the county, commit capital investment, and retain and create quality jobs.
The FBEDC provides members access to government, business, and community leaders, encouraging members to connect and problem solve with other business leaders and government officials. Every major city in Fort Bend County, as well as the county itself, is a member of an active within the FBEDC. Our public sector, working together with leading industries and businesses, has created an environment of cooperation, supporting a business culture conducive to quality and sustainable growth. This partnership provides our members, both public and private, opportunities to proactively engage with community and other business leaders and develop valuable relationships.
